The method was created in 1989 by numismatist César Bulgarelli, from Petrópolis, and inherited and patented by Bentes, the only company to share it with numismatists for the first time in 2012, with the launch of the first edition of our Brazilian Coin Catalog. Currently, the method, which will continue to be called the "César Bulgarelli method," in honor of the distinguished numismatist and our late friend, is sold exclusively by Bentes Numismática, a company of the Bentes Group.
